PenWest names 1996 directors
The Peninsula West Valley Association of Realtors has named Phyllis Carmichael of Seville Properties in Los Altos as 1996 board president. She is also a past president of the Los Altos Board of Realtors, Realtor of the Year in 1990 and past regional chair.
Other officers are President-elect Dave Hobson, of Coldwell Banker/ Fox & Carskadon; secretary/treasurer Carol Burnett, of Cornish & Carey; immediate past President Patricia Pipkin, of Seville Properties; and CAR Region 9 Vice President Susan Tilling, of Coldwell Banker.
Junior Achievement honors five leaders
Junior Achievement of Santa Clara County plans to induct five new members into its Business Hall of Fame March 19 during a 7:30 p.m. dinner at the San Jose Fairmont Hotel.
The inductees are: Enide Allison, chief executive officer of Allison Motors; Nolan Bushnell, Atari founder and CEO of E2000; George Castro, San Jose State University associate dean of science and retired IBM researcher; Michael Sinyard, Specialized Bicycle Components founder, and John Young, retired president and CEO of Hewlett-Packard.
