Snow and rain made life difficult for commuters last week, but, for some, the chilly storm brought sheer fun. Tricia Raphael Ian and her 16-month-old son Nicholas took time to play in the fresh snow at the Highway 9-Skyline vista point Feb. 27. Snow in the Santa Cruz Mountains stopped traffic temporarily on highways 17 and 9 before the sunshine returned.
