Scottish singer: Carl Peterson
Scottish balladeer plays for community concertFor the fourth of five concerts in its 50th anniversary year, the Los Gatos-Saratoga Community Concert Association presents Scottish singer, musician and storyteller Carl Peterson at 2:30 p.m. March 29 at the First United Methodist Church of Los Gatos, located at 19 High School Court. Peterson was born in Greenock, Scotland, on the banks of the River Clyde. He grew up learning both traditional and contemporary songs of Scotland, Ireland and England. He has since added American folk songs to his repertoire, which he takes on the road with him at concerts throughout the United States and Canada. To further set the stage for Scottish entertainment, local bagpiper Bruce Cotter will pipe the audience into the auditorium.
