Saratoga NewsSports BriefsSoccer tryouts The Los Gatos Wildcats, a boys' under-10 Class I soccer team, will hold tryouts for the 1998 season on March 28-29 and April 4-5, 8 a.m. each day, at Fisher Middle School. The team is looking for both field players and goalies, and all players are welcome to try out. Coaching the Wildcats are Bo Hintz, Ed McDonald and John Cleveland. Cat Magic tryouts The Los Gatos Cat Magic girls' under-11 select soccer tryouts will be held March 29 and April , 2 p.m. each day, at Fisher Middle School. For more information, call Tina Rude at 356-1075. Track coaches are needed Fisher Middle School in Los Gatos is looking for track coaches for the spring season. The track team is in need of two sprints coaches and a throwing coach for the season that begins March 23 and runs through the end of May. The track program offers competition for boys and girls in the sixth, seventh and eighth grades. For more information, call Fisher athletic director Eddie Landeros at 358-2003. Volleyvan in Los Gatos The USA Volleyball Volleyvan will stop off at Los Gatos High School on March 21 for a day of free clinics for coaches and players. The coaches clinic will run noon-1 p.m. with the players clinic set for 1-4 p.m. Boys and girls ages 7-18 of all ability levels are welcome to attend the clinic. The van is currently touring the country offering the free volleyball clinics. The staff from USA Volleyball will offer the instruction. Anniversary The Quito Little League will celebrate its 40th anniversary on March 28, 9 a.m., during opening day ceremonies at Rolling Hills Middle School.
