The Lucile Salter Packard Children's Hospital will sponsor a free children's health fair, which will take place at West Valley College in Saratoga on April 1. The fair will feature games and car seat inspections, among other health activities. It is open to children of all ages and their parents. Sister city group offers scholarship
The annual Ed Gomersall Cultural Scholarship, sponsored by the Saratoga Sister City organization and named in memory of past president Ed Gomersall, is offered to a person of any age interested in learning more about any aspect of Japanese culture.
There is no deadline for applications. Applicants must write a personal essay and present a plan of study, or explanation of their educational and cultural goals. The recipient of the award would participate in classes or programs, or follow a personal study program.

Mountain Winery holds reception
The Mountain Winery will hold its second annual good neighbor reception on April 12, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the winery.
The purpose of the reception is to usher in the Mountain Winery's 2001 Summer Concert Series, with a preview of the artists featured this summer.
