Adeline Ward
Longtime Saratogan Adeline "Addie" Isabelle Vossen Ward died Feb. 2, at the age of 81
A native of Oregon, Ward was born May 20, 1919. While serving as a WAVE in the U.S. Navy, she met her future husband, Dave Ward. The couple was married for 45 years, until his death in 1993.
Ward worked for the Cupertino Union School District from 1961 to 1983, as an office clerk at Blue Hills, Garden Gate and Hansen elementary schools. She was also a member of the Ascension Catholic Church.
Survivors include son Cliff Ward of Cordova, Alaska, and daughter Claudia Ward Worrell of Fort Bragg.
At her request, no services were held. Donations may be made to the Hospice Caring Project of Santa Cruz, P.O. Box 670, Aptos, 95001, or to the Alzheimer's Association.
Dolores Rohner
Longtime Saratoga resident Dolores M. Rohner died on Feb. 24, at the age of 58.
Rohner was born May 11, 1942, in Huntington, N.Y. She was an artist.
Survivors include husband Kenneth Rohner of Saratoga; sons Michael and Kenneth Rohner; mother Minnie Rey; and siblings John Rey and Gloria Meyer
Memorial services have been held, with entombment at Los Gatos Memorial Park.
