Robert Payne steps up to Calico's top job
Saratoga resident Robert Payne took the helm as new president and chief executive officer of Calico Technology, the San Jose company announced Jan. 24.
He was previously vice president and general manager of the application development tools division at Platinum Technology.
Payne stepped up as Calico founder Bill Paseman stepped down from the job. Paseman still chairs the company's board of directors and spearheads its research and development efforts.
Calico sells software that keeps track of orders for companies with custom-made products. Customers include computer network maker Cisco Systems, computer distributor TechData, and integrated circuit maker Lam Research.
