Residents to vote on fire station bond





    Sheriff's Report

    Petty Theft--March 16, 5:50 p.m. on Saratoga Avenue. A woman set her purse down at a local park while playing with a child she was baby-sitting. When she returned, her purse was gone. She estimates the items inside were valued at about $50.

    Grand Theft--March 14, 4 p.m. on Leavey Avenue. A resident left a pair of diamond earrings on her nightstand next to her bed. The earrings, valued at $7,000, are missing. There have been several contractors working inside the home.

    Residential Burglary--March 14, 12:30 p.m. on Brookwood Lane. A resident placed a ring in her jewelry box Feb. 21 and discovered it missing March 10. There were no signs of forced entry into the house; however, the house was being remodeled and was for sale and there were several people working in and touring the home.

    Vandalism--March 13, 4 p.m. on Prospect Road. An unknown suspect scraped an insignia into the front window of the reporting party's property.

    Residential Burglary--March 13, 4 p.m. on Congress Hall Lane. A resident's bank notified her that numerous checks had been cashed from her closed account. The resident has a box of checks for the closed account in a drawer in her kitchen.

    Auto Theft--March 12, 6:50 p.m. near Los Gatos-Saratoga Road. A resident attending a fundraiser checked his or her vehicle with the event's valet service. When the party returned to claim the car, it was missing. It had apparently been left unlocked with the keys inside.
