Free seminar on long-term care

Seniors and adults of all ages are welcome at one of three seminars on long-term care. Co-sponsored by Our Lady of Fatima Villa and local business people, the seminars take place April 1 from 6:30 to 9 p.m., April 2 from 9:30 a.m. to noon or April 3 from 1:30 to 4 p.m.

The seminars include presentations by attorney James E. Berge, long-term care consultant Natalie Hungerford and Success Technology president Stephen M. Kerner. One speaker will explain the differences among in-home care, residential/community care and nursing care. Refreshments will be served. Our Lady of Fatima Villa is located at 20400 Saratoga-Los Gatos Road. For reservations, call 452-1177.

Kids invited to Bunny's Fun Hunt

The Los Gatos-Saratoga Department of Community Education and Recreation holds its annual Bunny's Fun Hunt on April 4 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Los Gatos High School front lawn, located at the corner of E. Main Street and High School Court.

This free event includes carnival games, an Astro-Jump, a petting zoo, raffle prizes and a visit from Brite Eyes the Bunny. Three candy-egg hunts take place: 10:45 a.m. for 2- to 4-year-olds; 11:30 a.m. for 5- to 7-year-olds; and 12:15 p.m. for 8- to 11-year-olds.

Photos featured at Aegis Gallery

For the month of April, the featured local artist at Aegis Gallery is John Howard, who exhibits color and black-and-white photographs. Howard grew up in Tennessee and began photography as a youth, inspired by the area's outdoor beauty. The exhibit also includes photos reminiscent of Impressionist paintings, which Howard created while experimenting with various photographic techniques.

A reception for the artist takes place April 10 from 6 to 7 p.m. Aegis Gallery is located at 14531 Big Basin Way, Unit 2.

Spring activity guide available

The Saratoga Recreation Department's Spring Activity Guide is now available and is filled with programs, classes and outings for children, teenagers and adults.
