    Youth sports camps, fundraiser, sign-ups

    Soccer Camp

    Jorge Espinoza of the New England Revolution is in the area to host a pair of spring soccer camps for youth soccer players ages 6-16.

    The first camp was slated for April 1-5 and the second will be held next week, April 8-12, at the Campbell Community Center field. Sessions will be held 9-11:30 a.m. and 1-3:30 p.m. The cost is $100 per player, per session.

    Baseball Camps

    Santa Clara University will hold youth baseball camps for Little League-age players April 9-11 and April 16-18. The camps will cover hitting, pitching and defense. The cost for the camps, which will run from 9 a.m. to noon, is $100. For more information, call 650.207.8665.

    LL Fundraiser

    It will be adults' night out when the Saratoga Little League hosts a dinner at Stoddard's Villa Ragusa Room, 35 S. Campbell Ave. in Campbell, on April 20, 6:30 p.m. to midnight.

    The dinner, a fundraiser for the league, includes a buffet meal and beer and wine. The cost is $50. There will also be live entertainment, karaoke, a raffle and a silent auction.

    Tickets are on sale Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the newly renovated Congress Springs Park. For more information, call the Saratoga Little League hotline at 408.749.0279.

    Saratoga AYSO

    The Saratoga AYSO Soccer League has announced registration dates for the 2002 season. All registrations are held at Redwood Middle School.

    Advanced registration for coaches, assistant coaches, referees and board members will be held April 27, 10-11 a.m. and 3-4 p.m., in room 33.

    Early registration for all players will be held May 11, 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., and June 1, 1-4 p.m., in the cafeteria. The cost is $125 per player.

    Regular registration is set for June 29, 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m., in room 33. The cost is $150 per player.
