Students recognized as outstanding leaders
Many West Valley students were recognized as outstanding leaders at a March 20 breakfast held at the Los Gatos Neighborhood Center and sponsored by the West Valley Charter, Region VIII of the Association of California School Administrators. Guest speaker was Los Gatos Mayor Randy Attaway, who spoke on the four key points of leadership: vision, involving others in that vision, positive risk-taking and persistence. Local students receiving framed certificates included Warren Wong of Redwood Middle School; Seth Ferris of Rolling Hills Middle School; Grant Mine of Prospect High School and Kim Thai of Saratoga High School.
