Spring Soccer Camp for youngsters 5-15

Kulwant Singh, the coach of the successful men's and women's soccer programs at De Anza Community College, will host a spring soccer camp for youngsters ages 5-15 on April 14-18 at the Cupertino Library field. The cost is $90 for the five-day session. For more information, call Singh at 864-8745.

Popular Tortoise and Hare Run returns

The annual Tortoise and Hare Run is back.

After a two-year absence, the popular run will make its return on April 13 when runners and walkers line up at the starting line to compete in one of the five events: the 10K run, 5K walk, corporate challenge, kids' race and children's Bamboola Bunny Hop.

The entry fee for runners is $22 on race day ($5 for Bunny Hop or kids' race), and the start-finish line is located on the track at Los Gatos High School. Races begin at 8:30 a.m., with the children's events at 10 a.m.

The course for the 11th annual Tortoise and Hare Run travels the Los Gatos Creek Trail. All entrants will receive T-shirts, and there will be prizes and awards for the top three male, female and wheelchair finishers in each age division.

Men's 35-plus spring basketball season

The Saratoga men's 35-plus spring basketball season begins April 26, and sign-ups are now being accepted for the 10-game season. Games are played Saturday mornings at West Valley Community College. Players must have been born before April 26, 1962. For more information, call 868-1234.

Saratoga adult softball accepting new teams

The Saratoga adult softball league is now accepting new coed and men's D league teams for the coming year. Teams will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis for the league season that runs April 21-July 31. For more information, call 868-1234.
