Students at Saratoga Elementary School pass by the 'sea' of daffodils in front of the campus. Students and parents, under the direction of second-grade teacher Gayle Johnson and parent Sharon Baab, planted 1,500 bulbs last fall as part of a project to beautify the newly remodeled school. Johnson says that when the daffodils bloomed around February or March, there was a 'sea of yellow,' almost from Third Street to Komina Avenue.
