    Obituary

    Ruth Henry

    Longtime Saratoga resident Ruth M. Henry died March 31 at the age of 85.

    Henry was born Oct. 30, 1916, in Haslett, Mich. She was the former classified ad manager for the San Jose Mercury News. She was also an active volunteer in the community, serving 19 years with the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center and 18 years with Eastfield Ming Quong and its Happy Dragon thrift shop.

    Her family says that Henry will be remembered most for her wonderful sense of humor, her gracious generosity and her positive attitude.

    She was preceded in death by husband Harland M. Henry. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law John J. and Patti Henry, daughter and son-in-law Susan and Dave Johnson; grandchildren Erik Henry, Michael and David Johnson and Kathy Byrne; and great-grandchildren Brandon and Brady Johnson and Ashley Byrne.

    Memorial services have been held. Donations may be made to EMQ Child and Family Services Foundation, 251 Lewellyn Ave., Campbell, 95008.
