Artists' group holds meeting
The Saratoga Contemporary Artists welcome artist Deborah Matlack at their meeting on April 11, 7 p.m., in the modular building at the Saratoga Senior Center. Matlack will give an overview of her father-in-law, Jules Halfant, and his 80 years as an award-winning artist who produced more than 1,000 canvasses, several hundred monotypes and hundreds of charcoal, watercolor and pen-and-ink drawings. Although he showed and sold some of his works, he painted only for himself and his personal visions.
Refreshments will be served. The public is welcome. Saratoga Contemporary Artists promote the arts and let artists of different levels and styles socialize, network, review each others works and occasionally paint together. For more information, call 408.255.5026.
