Golf course designer works with pro

Local golf course architect J. Michael Poellot has agreed to work with PGA Tour professional Ernie Els in a number of projects both in the United States and internationally. The first will be the Whiskey Creek Golf Club, an 18-hole championship golf course which is currently in the design phase and will be located in the Washington, D.C., area. A second course in the Caribbean is also in the works.

Preston Wynne named 'Day Spa of the Year'

Preston Wynne Day Spa in Saratoga has been named "Day Spa of the Year" for the second year in a row. The award was presented by Spa Management Journal, whose readers returned ballots to select the winner from a list of international finalists.

The award honors top spas in the categories of best day spas, fitness spas and luxury spas. Preston Wynne spa offers massage, body treatment, soaking tubs, hypnotherapy and more, and is located at 14567 Big Basin Way.
