Jumping Rope for Hearts

Alexandra Marshall (left), 6, and Chelsea Sasso, 5, were two of some 500 Marshall Lane School students who jumped rope April 3 to raise money for the American Heart Association. They raised over $10,000, topping last year's record of $9,215. "Each year, we have almost 100 percent participation of our student body," teacher Robin Ohara said. Over seven years, the schoolchildren have raised close to $40,000 for the heart association.
