City Council changes some meeting dates

Grab a pencil and a calendar, council watchers. A few dates on the Saratoga City Council's meeting schedule have been changed.

The city's Town Hall meeting, scheduled for April 26, has been canceled. The meeting's topic was to be the landscaping and lighting assessments. Councilmembers said they felt the public meeting and hearing on the subject, both scheduled for later in the year, would offer residents ample opportunity to voice opinions and have questions answered.

And speaking of the landscape and lighting assessments, the date for the public hearing on the issue has been changed from May 21 to June 4. Acting City Manager Larry Perlin said the engineer in charge of the assessments needs the extra time. The date for the public meeting on the assessments, May 7, will remain the same.

The date for the city's next budget workshop will also remain the same: April 22. That meeting, to be held in Senior Day Care of the Community Center, will cover proposed changes in staffing at City Hall and city expenditures.
