Saratoga Taiko, which practices each Saturday at 7:30 a.m. at Hakone Gardens, pounds out a thundering rhythm. The group has performed at the Saratoga Rotary Art Show, before the Japan Society of Northern California and in the Saratoga Community Parade. The Saratoga Taiko was formed after a 1992 Sister City trip during which Saratogans watched in awe as the Muko Taiko Group demonstrated the art of Japanese drumming.
