    Sheriff's Report

    Attempted Check Forgery--April 9, 9:10 p.m. on Prospect Road. The suspect tried to use a forged check and possibly a stolen credit card to purchase $148.37 in CDs, DVDs and decorative packaging bags from a music store. The store manager refused to accept the check and credit card, and the suspect left the store. The manager recognized the name on the check and credit card as being that of a former female co-worker at Macy's who was of Middle Eastern descent. The suspect was a white female. She remains at large.

    Residential Burglary--April 8, 3:30 p.m. on Cabernet Avenue. An unknown suspect entered a residence through an unknown point of entry and removed a $1,100 Bigfoot Go-Ped motorized scooter, power tools and a Jet Ski stand. The suspect remains unknown and at large.

    Petty Theft--April 7, 6:13 p.m. on Prospect Road. After the suspect's car was detained at a car wash, the suspect got into the car and drove away without paying $59.95 for the service. An employee wrote down the license plate number, which is registered in Milpitas. The suspect remains at large.

    Vehicle Vandalism--April 6, noon on Ansley Place. An officer saw the victim's car parked in the street. The victim said her car was vandalized between 10 a.m. the day before and 6 a.m. that day. She said it had also happened before, on March 10, 2001. She gave the officer information concerning the six suspects who paid damages for the event that occurred last year.

    Vandalism--April 6, 9:30 a.m. on Saratoga Creek. The victim parked his car in front of his house at about 10 p.m. the day before. At about 9 a.m. the next day, he saw someone throw an egg at his car. There was no permanent damage to the car.
