    Bill Lorton of San Jose and Lia Lorton of Saratoga announce the engagement of their daughter, Janet Lorton, to Daniel Joseph Moran, son of former Los Gatans Jim and Jane Moran, now of Nevada City.

    The bride-to-be is a graduate of Saratoga High School and UC-Davis. She is the head development coach for the Sugar Bowl Ski Resort Ski Team.

    Her fiancé is a graduate of Los Gatos High School. He is the lift operations supervisor at Sugar Bowl Ski Resort.

    They plan an August wedding.
