    'Antigone'

    Rain forest Greek Tragedy

The Watchman, played by Robert Lombardi of San Jose, drags Antigone, portrayed by Saratogan Mandy Manousos, before King Creon, played by Joe Borkouski of Campbell, in West Valley College's performance of Sophocles' classic tragedy 'Antigone.' Instead of setting the play in the ancient Greco-Roman world, director Ginger Drake has placed the action among ancient ruins in a pre-Colombian rain forest. Performances run April 28-29 and May 4-6, at 8 p.m. and April 30, at 2 p.m. in the West Valley Theater, 14000 Fruitvale Ave. in Saratoga. General admission is $10; students and seniors are $8. For directions or more information, call 408.741.2058.
