    Spaghetti feed with all the trimmings benefits seniors

    The Saratoga Adult Care Center holds its fourth annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser on April 21 in two seatings--5 and 6:30 p.m.--at the Saratoga Senior Center, 19655 Allendale Ave. Everyone is welcome. Tickets are $10 and include spaghetti with meat sauce, garlic bread, salad, dessert and soft drinks or one glass of wine.

    The meal is provided by chefs Ken and Elena Sternberg. The Saratoga Adult Care Center offers a variety of services and programs each weekday to senior citizens in the Saratoga area. For dinner tickets or more information, call 868-1262.

    The AAUW holds an educational program, lunch

    The Los Gatos-Saratoga branch of the American Association of University Women holds its annual Educational Foundation program and potluck luncheon on April 24, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., in Amundson Hall at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 14103 Saratoga Ave., Saratoga. The program features a talk by Debbie Stephens of Stanford University, who is a past recipient of an AAUW career development grant.

    The new local scholarship winner, a West Valley College student, will also be introduced at the luncheon. For more information, or for a food assignment, call 264-4488.

    'Comedy of Errors' plays at West Valley College

    William Shakespeare's farce, The Comedy of Errors, opens April 30 at the West Valley College Theater, 14000 Fruitvale Ave., Saratoga, and runs through May 9. This production centers around lovesick sweethearts, conniving servants, confused merchants and the turbulence of mistaken identities and other classic techniques of commedia. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students and senior citizens. All seating is general admission. The box office opens 45 minutes before the curtain. Performances on April 30 and May 1, 6, 7 and 8 take place at 7:30 p.m., with a matinee on May 9 at 2 p.m. Group rate tickets at $8 each are available to groups of 15 or more.
