Moreland carnival to feature auction, games, entertainment

There won't be any bearded ladies or Siamese twins, but there'll be plenty of food, entertainment, roller coasters, a silent auction and games to satisfy patrons of the second annual Moreland Educational Carnival. Items on the auction block include theater tickets, theme gift baskets, and tickets to the Napa Valley Wine Train, Disneyland, Raging Waters, the San Francisco Zoo and the Winchester Mystery House.

The carnival takes place at Prospect High School at 18900 Prospect Road in Saratoga. The carnival runs from 3:30 to 10 p.m. on Friday, April 28; 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, April 29; and 2 to 10 p.m. on Sunday, April 30. Auction bidding begins on Saturday. Admission is free, and all proceeds from tickets benefit the students of the Moreland School District. Ticket books bought in advance are $10. For more information, visit the website at www.moreland.k12.ca.us/mefcarnival.
