West Valley College holds Fusion in Fashion show
Annual event takes place May 12
Students in the West Valley College Fashion Design and Apparel Technology Program are showcasing their original clothing lines on May 12, during Fusion in Fashion, their annual fashion show, which takes place at 3 p.m. and again at 7:30 p.m.
Emceed by KRON-TV anchorwoman Catherine Heenan and KNTV anchorman Scott Budman, the event is directed by WVC graduate Joseph Domingo, who is now a fashion designer in San Francisco. Mervyn's of California is this year's industry guest, selected for its philanthropic efforts. Through Community Closet, Mervyn's donates wardrobes to women making the transition from living on welfare to working on their own.
Tickets are $40 per person for reserved show seating and a champagne reception catered by Mission College Hospitality Management students. Tickets for the show only are $15 per person. Proceeds benefit WVC students in the FDAT Program, a professional training course that prepares students for careers in the fashion industry.
