Church hosts speaker on aging
The First Church of Christ, Scientist at 238 E. Main Street welcomes guest speaker Nancy S. Pihl on May 4, at 8 p.m. for a presentation titled Life Without Age.
A former professional actress, singer and teacher, Pihl has worked with people of all ages in overcoming the physical and mental problems associated with aging. She also questions the label of "senior citizen" because she believes it often implies too many of the physical and mental claims of old age, which may or may not apply. Acting in the healing ministry as a public practitioner of Christian Science, Pihl has lectured on the practice for more than eight years throughout the United States, Canada, Europe and Australia.
Free child-care is available during the one-hour program.
