Moratorium on conversions is extended





    Sheriff's Report

    Vandalism--April 15, 8:50 a.m. on Prospect Road. Someone put two holes into a pair of vending machines. The suspect did not appear to have gained entry to the machines.

    Credit Card Theft--April 14, 8 p.m. on Ravenwood. Unknown suspects used a resident's credit card to charge over $1,600 in services over the Internet.

    Stolen Vehicle Recovery--April 13, 7:30 p.m. on Montrose Avenue. A sheriff's deputy recovered a stolen vehicle from a residential area. A resident told the deputy the car had been parked on the street for about five months. There was no damage to the vehicle. The deputy was unable to find any fingerprints.

    Credit Card Fraud--April 13, 6:45 p.m. on Williamsburg Lane. A suspect used a Saratoga resident's credit card to purchase $800 in money orders and $40 in lottery tickets from a convenience store.

    Residential Burglary--April 13, 4:50 p.m. on Glen Una Drive. Resident's returned home to discover their home ransacked and a large amount of cash and several pieces of jewelry missing. There are no signs of forced entry, leads or suspect information.

    Fraud--April 13, 3:30 p.m. on Fruitvale Avenue. Sometime between Jan. 11 and March 29, an unknown suspect made electronic withdrawals from a Saratoga resident's bank account. The suspect also used the account for automatic deductions to pay bills.

    Auto Burglary--April 12, 5:50 p.m. on Fourth Street. On April 10, a jacket was taken from the trunk of a car. There are no signs of forced entry, leads or suspect information.

    Vandalism--April 11, 2:45 p.m. on Michael's Drive. A kitchen cabinet in an unsecured home that is under construction was vandalized sometime during the night of April 10. Many bottle caps and cigarette butts were found throughout the home and the remains of a small campfire were found on the back patio. There is no suspect information.

    Petty Theft--March 11, 8:22 a.m. on Prospect Road. A Los Gatos resident put the face plate of her car stereo in the glove box before leaving her vehicle at a Saratoga car wash. She immediately noticed the stereo face plate missing upon picking up her car.
