    Impacts Tryouts

    The De Anza Impact, a girls under-11 Class 1 soccer team, is holding tryouts for the fall season. Players born after July 31, 1989, are eligible. The team is coached by Nicole Leonard, a former Santa Clara University goalie. For more information, call the coach at 408.985.9992, or call team manager Laura Watkins at 408.399.9190.

    Saratoga soccer

    The 2000 soccer season is coming up soon, and the Saratoga AYSO Region 27 soccer league is holding signups for players, coaches, referees and board members.

    Advanced registration for players whose parents will sign-up for volunteer positions is slated for April 29, 10 a.m.-noon, at Argonaut School.

    Players who did not participate last year must provide a passport or notarized copy of their birth certificate. The registration fee is discounted to $50 per child at the advanced registration.

    Early registration dates are slated for May 13 and June 3, 9:30-1 p.m., when the registration fee will be discounted to $75 per player.

    Parents may also register players for the Major League Soccer Camps scheduled for Aug. 7-11 and Aug. 21-25, 9 a.m.-noon, at Congress Springs Park. The camps are recommended for all players in the under-6 to under-14 programs. The cost is $100 per child for each camp ($150 for one child for both camps).     Youth football

    Signups for the 2000 Los Gatos Pop Warner football season are now being accepted.
