New Orleans-Bound

Saratoga Elementary School students (from left) Danielle Grassi, Emily Garrison and John Lee Garrison are hoping parents and friends of the school will be in the mood for May Mardi Gras Madness, the school's spring fundraising auction set for May 1 at 7 p.m. at the Opera House in Los Gatos. The event will have a decidedly New Orleans flavor, with live jazz and Cajun food. Local businesses have made hundreds of contributions to the auction, the proceeds from which will go to update the school's library and science lab. For more information, call 867-3476.
