Saratogans will soon hear the sound of bulldozers knocking down the small convent and the simple chapel at the front of Our Lady of Fatima Villa on Saratoga-Los Gatos Road. Those sounds and the accompanying cloud of dust will signal the end of an era at the villa and the convergence of two major social trends. In place of the villa, builders will construct a three-story assisted-care facility.
