Agricultural winners

The California Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom and the State Compensation Insurance Fund recently announced the winners of their first statewide "Imagine this. . ." agriculture writing contest.

The students' essays were to deal with agricultural production, distribution and related occupations or situations.

Two regional finalists attend Sacred Heart School in Saratoga. They are: Michael Booth of Boulder Creek, who won the state competition for seventh- and eighth-graders, and Daniel Twombly of Saratoga.

Booth was presented with a medal and savings bond by Gayle Wilson, California's First Lady.
