    Ted McElhone of New York and Rosa Loayza of South America announce the engagement of their daughter, Sharon Dee McElhone, to David Allan Hofman, son of Larry and Joyce Hofman of Sunnyvale.

    The bride-to-be is a graduate of Saratoga High School and Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. She is a graduate student at San Jose State University pursuing a master's degree in English.

    Her fiancé is a graduate of Wilcox High School in Santa Clara and Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. He is a self-employed contractor.

    They plan a June wedding.

    Richard Rossi and Dr. Beverly Rossi of Saratoga announce the engagement of their daughter, Ricarda Rochelle Rossi, to Michael Aaron Hanna, son of Richard Hanna of Bullhead City, Ariz., and Kay Hankes of Santa Cruz.

    The bride-to-be is a graduate of Saint Francis High School and Santa Clara University. She is a sales and marketing supervisor for Avnet in San Jose.

    Her fiancé is a graduate of San Lorenzo Valley High School and San Jose State University. He is a senior technical recruiter with Integrated Device Technology in Santa Clara.

    They plan a November wedding.
