Drunk in Public--April 20, 11 p.m. on Los Gatos-Saratoga Road. The officer arrived at the Santa Clara County Fire District after the suspect reported a kidnapping there. The officer found that no kidnapping occurred and smelled alcohol on the suspect, who also had bloodshot and watery eyes. She was hysterical, talking nonsense and walking around the fire station, waking the firefighters. The officer arrested her and booked her into the main jail.

Vandalism (Broken Window on Van)--April 20, 8:15 a.m. on Northampton Drive. The victim parked his van in front of his house the night before. When he went outside the next day, he saw the window to the driver's door was broken out and that about $200 of damage had been done. About a week and a half before, an angry motorist had followed him home and threatened to beat him up. The victim hasn't seen the motorist since.

Commercial Burglary/Resisting Arrest--April 19, 2:12 p.m. on Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road. The reporting party and witness saw the suspect walk around inside the Safeway store, pushing a shopping cart. They recognized him as the person who had shopped at the store before who had lined his cart with toilet paper, stacked bottles of alcohol in the middle of the cart and left the store without paying. After the reporting party and witness went into the office and watched the suspect on video, they called 911, and officers arrived and confronted him in the parking lot. He fled, but officers found him hiding in a nearby backyard about an hour later.

Auto Burglary--April 19, 8:30 a.m. on Ted Avenue. The victim parked her work car in front of her house the night before, at about 7:30. When she went outside to go to work the next day, she found the front passenger door window broken out and her cell phone, valued at about $105, missing. About $200 of damage was done to the window. The suspects are unknown and left no physical evidence.
