    De Anza Déjà Vu

    The De Anza Déjà Vu, an under-13 girls class 1 soccer team, is looking for players (born after July 31, 1988) for the coming season. Tryouts will be held May 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29. Call 408.252.5019 or e-mail rhoxsie@yahoo.com.

    Coed Softball

    Coed softball players, whose skill levels range from beginner to D division, are encouraged to participate in a "team builder game" on May 6, 2:30 p.m., at Hathaway Park in Campbell. Individuals and couples are welcome. The cost is $4 for the game. Call Sparky at 408.921.2001.

    Adult Leagues

    San Jose is holding registration for adult softball and basketball and is hosting drop-in a volleyball league at the Camden Community Center.

    The city offers softball leagues Monday through Friday for players ages 18 and over. The fees run from $485 to $545 per team.

    Basketball leagues are conducted Monday through Thursday, 7-9 p.m.

    The fees range from $375 to $480 per team.

    Drop-in volleyball leagues for ages 15-17 and adults are held Mondays, 7-10 p.m., at the Camden Community Center. The cost is $1 for youths and $3 for adults.

    Special Olympics

    The Special Olympics track and field meet is coming up soon, and chaperones are needed for the event. There will be an orientation for track and field chaperones on May 8, 7 p.m., at the Special Olympics office. Call 408.267.2734 or visit www.sonc.org/sccso.

    AYSO Soccer

    The Saratoga AYSO Region 27 will hold registration for players ages 5 and up interested in playing in the fall season on May 12, 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and June 2 1-4 p.m. at Redwood Middle School in Saratoga.

    The registration fee is $75 per child until June 2. After that date, the registration fee will be $100 and players will be placed on a waiting list. Scholarships are available.

    Players must provide a birth certificate, a doctor's name and phone number, medical insurance information and the name, phone number and address of an emergency contact.

    Saratoga Boosters host auction

    The 21st annual Saratoga High Athletic Booster Club Fund-Raising Auction will be held May 20, 2-8 p.m., at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga.

    Tickets are priced at $85 and are available from Booster Club board members or at the school office. The ticket price includes hors d'oeuvres, beverages, gourmet dinner and the opportunity to bid in the one-of-a-kind auction.

    Auction items include hard-to-get tickets to sporting events, private winery events, golf outings, exotic trips, sports memorabilia and much more.

    Proceeds from the event helps fund boys and girls sports at Saratoga High and Redwood Middle School.

    Girls basketball camp

    The seventh annual Saratoga Skills Clinic, a summer basketball camp for girls, returns to the Saratoga High School gym June 25-July 13. The camp is open to girls in grades 7-12, and camp hours are 1-3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

    Saratoga girls head varsity basketball coach Bret Yeilding is the camp director, and he conducts the camp with members of his coaching staff and former players.

    The camp covers passing, dribbling, ball handling and shooting, and the cost is $200 per player.
