Porcelain vessels fill a display at Aegis Gallery
Throughout the month of May, Aegis Gallery of Fine Art's featured artist is Sunnyvale resident Bill Sawhill. He uses a spectrum of pastel shades and earth tones to glaze his porcelain pieces in orange, yellow, green, turquoise, blue, mauve, silver and white. Sawhill is also known for using a special process to cover each of his vessels with a delicate crystalline pattern that resembles miniature snowflakes.
The public is invited to an artist's reception on May 13, from 7 to 9 p.m. Regular gallery hours are Tuesday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Aegis Gallery is at 14531 Big Basin Way, Unit 2 in Saratoga.
