SHS Song Squad places 10th in nationals





    On Campus

    Argonaut School chess club takes second place

    The Argonaut School chess club placed second in the K-3 division in the Northern California State Chess Scholastic Championships March 27-28.

    It was the first time each of the nine-member team had competed in a chess tournament. Team members are fifth-graders Anthony Chong, Jason Chou and Ryan Tang, third-graders David Chock, Julianne Freeman and Eugene Tseng and second-graders Aaron Garg, Kevin Ho and Brian Tsai.

    Chock also won a 10th-place individual trophy, and Tsai was awarded a medal for best unrated player. Team medals were also awarded to Freeman, Garg and Tseng.
