SHERIFF'S REPORT

Assault and battery--April 8 at 11 a.m. on Paseo Pueblo. The suspect and victim had an argument. The suspect then chased the victim out of the house and struck the victim in the back of the head. The victim then picked up a piece of firewood and threw it at the suspect.

Attempted residential burglary--between March 30 and April 6 on Bainter Avenue. An unknown burglar attempted to enter a house by using a master key on the rear door. The key broke off in the lock. The burglar also attempted to pry open a bathroom window with a flat-edged tool.

Grand theft--between April 8 at 8 p.m. and April 5 at 7 a.m. on Palmtag Drive. The victim found tools missing from a storage box in the bed of a pickup truck and from the bed itself.

Evading a peace officer--April 11 at 8:17 a.m. on Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road. The suspect was driving a motorized minibike on a sidewalk. The suspect failed to yield and stop for a marked patrol vehicle with red lights and siren activated. The suspect continued to drive back and forth on the sidewalk in an attempt to evade three marked patrol vehicles with their Code Three lights on.

Auto burglary--April 15 between 12:05 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on View Oak Drive. Someone forced entry into a locked vehicle by prying the right door lock. The suspect removed the stereo.

Grand theft--between April 17 at 10:30 p.m. April 18 at 9 a.m. on Hargrave Way. Four wheels and lugnuts were removed from a car.

Unlawful entry--between April 6 and April 8 at 7:30 a.m. on Shadow Mountain Way. Someone entered a modular classroom by lifting a sliding window. Nothing was taken or damaged.

Commercial burglary--between April 19 at 6 p.m. and April 20 at 8:30 a.m. on Saratoga Avenue. Unknown burglar(s) entered the library through a broken window and removed a computer hard drive, and also attempted to break into the Xerox machines.

Burglary--April 22 between 5:30 p.m. and 6:10 p.m. on Cox Avenue. The suspect entered the men's locker room, removed a lock and then removed property.

Vandalism--April 26 at 11 p.m. on Woodbank Way. Unknown vandal(s) placed an M-80 into a mailbox, destroying it.
