Council appoints new commissioner
Saratoga City Council appointed Mike Garakani to the planning commission on May 2, bringing to six the number of active commissioners on the board.
City code stipulates that the commission must operate with seven commissioners, though four qualify as a legal quorum.
Former Planning Commission Chairman Chuck Page recently withdrew his application for another term on the commission, leaving the city without another candidate for the seventh seat.
Garakani's term will expire in April 2005.
