Sheriff's Report

Found property--May 2, 3:45 p.m., on Parker Ranch Road. The reporting party called deputies to his home and turned over to them a parking meter which he found in the bushes near his driveway. It is unknown where the parking meter came from, or the amount of money, if any, in its locked change box. The meter bears a label with an unknown out-of-area enforcement code. Deputies booked the meter into the sheriff's office properties room.

Petty theft--May 2, 8 a.m., at a supermarket on Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road. A store employee observed a suspect placing two items from the meat counter in his coat. The suspect then took two donuts from the bakery, paid for them at the cashier, and exited the store without paying for the meat. The store manager contacted the suspect outside the store and placed him under citizen's arrest until deputies arrived. The suspect was cited and released.
