John and Christine Gehring of Sunnyvale announce the engagement of their daughter, Barb Schooley, to Jon Aaron Verson, son of Jack and Janet Verson of Saratoga.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Homestead High School and Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. She is a nutritionist with Designs for Health Institute in Boulder, Colo.

Her fiancé is a graduate of Saratoga High School and California State University, Chico. He is a web developer with Streamline Interactive Communications in Boulder, Colo.

They plan a July wedding.
