The Montalvo Service Group's summer luncheons at Villa Montalvo will begin on Wednesday, June 19 and, with the exception of July 3, will continue until the last Wednesday in August.
Senator James Phelan, the original owner and builder of the Villa, used the same terrace to entertain his distinguished guests in the 1920s and 1930s.
Here is the summer schedule:
June 19, lobster salad, fashions from Exclusively Yours; June 26, gingered steak, Swetka's; July 10, curried smoked chicken, Back Door Boutique; June 17, grilled duck, Exclusively Yours; July 24, lobster salad, Panache; July 31, gingered steak, The Gap; August 7, curried smoked chicken, Spirit of Silk; August 14, grilled duck, Vida; August 21, gingered steak, Talbot's; August 28, grilled duck, Swetka's.
Reservations are required. Seatings are at noon, 12:30 and 1 p.m. Call 741-3421, Ext. 300 weekdays between 1 and 3:30 p.m. Parking is available at the Villa.
The price of $17 includes an appetizer, entree, dessert and beverage. Fashion shows are staged with the luncheons.
