Auditions planned for Pinocchio play
Children, entering the second through 12th grades, are invited to audition for the Saratoga Children's Festival Theatre's upcoming performance of the classic tale of Pinocchio, the wooden puppet who must endure many trials before he can become a "real boy."
Auditions are on June 2, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Callbacks are 2-4 p.m. the same day. Auditioners should have a short poem prepared.
Fee is $89 for children and $40 for parents, if they wish to be in the production, as well. Cast members must provide their own costumes; parents not acting in the show must help in a volunteer position or pay an additional $10. Performances, at Wildwood Park, will be in August. Call 408.868.1248, or 408.868.1249.
Mary Baker Eddy exhibit is coming

Eddy, who lived from 1821 to 1910, is also known for writing and publishing a book, Science and Health, which is still on the national best-seller lists today. In recent years, she was honored by the National Women's Hall of Fame and by PBS's Religion and Ethics Newsweekly.
