    Guard the Licorice!

Five-year-old Saratogan Curtis Fink helps himself to licorice at the Argonaut Crossing Guard Appreciation Picnic, held on May 17, in Wildwood Park and hosted by the Saratoga Substation of the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office. Curtis accompanied his older brother Joseph, an Argonaut student volunteer crossing guard. Some 28 fifth-graders attended the event, where they enjoyed a free barbecue lunch and received certificates of appreciation.
