    Benefit golf tourney set

    A golf tournament to benefit the Neill Parry Foundation will be held June 1 at the Cinnabar Hills Golf Club in San Jose.

    The tourney, hosted by the Willow Glen Rotary, will benefit the Parry Foundation. Parry is the San Jose State University football player who lost his leg during the 2000 season, and the foundation in his name assists athletes who have been seriously injured. Some of the proceeds will also benefit the Rotary's ongoing charities program.

    The entry fee for the scramble tournament is $200 per golfer and includes green fees and cart, as well as food and beverages throughout the day. Following the tourney, there will be an awards banquet.

    AYSO Soccer

    The Saratoga AYSO Region 27 will hold registration for players ages 5 and up interested in playing in the fall season on June 2, 1-4 p.m. at Redwood Middle School in Saratoga.

    The registration fee is $75 per child until June 2. After that date, the registration fee will be $100. Space is limited.

    Players must provide a birth certificate, a doctor's name and phone number, medical insurance information and the name, phone number and address of an emergency contact.

    De Anza Bulldogs

    The De Anza Bulldogs, a girls under-11 Class 3 soccer team, is looking for players (born after July 31, 1989) for the coming season. Contact Greg Wendschlag at gregw@alagonline.com or call him at 408.255.4877.

    Youth Soccer

    The South Bay Youth Soccer League will hold signups for the fall season on June 16, 11 a.m.-2 p.m., at River Glen Park, corner of Pine and Bird avenues in Willow Glen.

    The league fields teams in the under-6 to under-14 divisions for boys and girls, and the emphasis is on family fun and skill development. There are free coaching clinics and a season-ending tournament and picnic.

    Youth football

    The Campbell-Saratoga Wolverines will hold signups for youth football players and cheerleaders ages 8-14 on June 9 and 23, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., at the Campbell Community Center. Coaches also needed. Call 408.265.4599.
