Six Eagle Scouts shared a joint Court of Honor on June 4 at 7 p.m. in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 19100 Allendale Ave.

Friends, teachers and families celebrated the accomplishments of Doug Avondet, Tim Adams, Johnny Taylor, Andrew Judd, Ryan Anderson and Todd Anderson.

Avondet, son of Roy and Marilyn Avondet, is a 13-year Saratoga resident and a junior at Saratoga High School. He began Cub Scouting at the age of 8 in Troop 563. He received his Arrow of Light, On My Honor and Duty to God awards and has held leadership positions in Scouting and in his church.

He is a member of the Saratoga High School Varsity Soccer team, where he made All-League and won the Most Outstanding Defensive Player award. He sings in the school concert choir and likes cartoon illustration, computer graphics, golf and making home videos.

Avondet's Eagle Scout project was to restore the parcourse stations at Campbell Community Park. The public athletic course is two miles long, with 18 activity stations. Doug organized a group of youths and adults to repair broken signs, trim overgrown bushes and add a new layer of crushed gravel at each station.

Tim Adams, the son of Dan and Rolly Dupree, is a senior at Saratoga High School, where he has participated in diving and wrestling. He won the Santa Clara Wrestling Classic in his weight class and was awarded the Most Valuable Heavyweight Wrestler award. His interests include auto repair, water skiing and golf. He intends to pursue a medical career starting next fall at the University of Utah.

Adams' Eagle project involved rebuilding a wooden fence for the city of Campbell along Campbell Creek. Tim organized about 20 volunteers to help him with labor and the city of Campbell supplied materials and tools.

Johnny Taylor, the son of Michael and Lynna Taylor, has held several youth leadership positions in Scouting and in his church. He has participated in local community service projects such as Special Olympics and feeding the homeless.

A senior at Saratoga High School, Taylor was chosen Scholar Athlete in his freshman, sophomore and junior years and was the freshman class representative.

He has designed several Saratoga High School T-shirts and received the Best Artist award at Redwood Middle School and "Best of Show" in the school art show. He was junior varsity football captain in his sophomore year and was All League in baseball and football. He has played varsity soccer for four years.

His Eagle project was to design and build new stairs at Hakone Gardens, helping to protect the gardens from winter rains and to allow visitors to view the gardens in safety.

Andrew Ray Judd, the son of Daniel and Marta Anderson, is the seventh of nine children. He has earned a total of 23 merit badges, including the Duty to God award and the Order of the Arrow.

Judd is a member of Westmont High School's soccer and swim teams and sings in the school concert choir. He enjoys film, sound systems, electronics, video games, and computers and does sound setup and taping for school plays, church performances and the Santa Clara Chorale.

Andrew's Eagle project was to inventory and stencil labels on 2,000 chairs and 50 tables for his church. He also painted outside doors and handrails

Ryan and Todd Anderson, sons of David and Sue Anderson, got their Eagle Badges on the same day.

Ryan, who will be a junior at Saratoga High School next year, plays basketball and football. He was All-League player in both Junior Varsity teams for 1994-95 and was named Most Valuable Player in basketball. He joined the varsity team for the CCS championships, was named Most Improved Player in football, volunteers as assistant track coach for Redwood Middle School and maintains an above-average GPA.

Ryan's Eagle project was building a retaining wall around the water filters at Hakone Gardens. His brother Todd made a bamboo fence at Hakone as his project.

Todd, who will be entering his freshman year at Saratoga High School next year, participates in local and foreign service projects. He was named Best Defensive Player in basketball for 1994-95 and is an honor-roll student.

He was senior patrol leader for Scout Troop 563 and completed all of the requirements for his Eagle Badge at 13 years of age.
