Sixth annual Skills Clinic returns to Saratoga gym
The sixth annual Saratoga Skills Clinic, a summer basketball camp for girls, will return to the gym at Saratoga High School June 26-July 14. The clinic runs Monday through Friday, 1-3 p.m. each day.
The clinic, hosted by Saratoga girls varsity coach Bret Yeilding, is open to all girls who will be in grades 7-12 next year, and emphasizes individual offensive skills including passing, dribbling, ball handling and shooting.

WVC Hoop Camp
West Valley Community College will host a summer basketball camp June 26-30 for boys ages 8-16. Campers ages 13-16 will attend from 9:10-11:10 a.m., and campers ages 8-12 will attend from 11:20-1:20 p.m. The cost is $85 per player. For more information, call 408.741.2173.
Summer Hoops Camps
Los Gatos varsity basketball coach Jim Marino will host the annual Wildcat Summer Basketball Camps June 19-23 and June 26-30 in the high school gym.
The camps, open to players ages 7-15, stress fundamentals in shooting, passing, dribbling, defense and team play.
A camp for players ages 13-15 will be held June 19-23, 1-3 p.m. each day. The cost is $50 for the one-week session.
Camps for players ages 7-12 are set for June 19-23, 9 a.m.-noon, and June 26-30, 1-4 p.m. The cost for each session is $85 per player.
Each participant receives a camp T-shirt, and the camps features guest appearances by many of the top coaches in the Bay Area.

Wrestling Camp
The 11th annual Wildcats Wrestling Camp returns to Los Gatos High School for three sessions in June and July.
Camp sessions include: June 26-30 for beginners to intermediates ages 7-12 (wrestlers with no experience or just one year of camp experience); July 3-7 for intermediates in grades 6-9 (wrestlers with one or two years of junior-high experience); and July 10-14 for advanced campers in grades 8-12 (wrestlers with two years of junior high or one year of high school experience).
Camp hours are 1:30-4:30 p.m. daily, and the $110 weekly fee includes instruction, games, wrestling videos, snacks and a T-shirt.
Veteran wrestling coach Scott Downs is the camp director, with Los Gatos High head coach Jeff Garlick the head instructor. Fisher coach John Gizelbrook and C.T. English coach Kyle Hand are members of the coaching staff.

SCU Baseball School
The annual Santa Clara Baseball School, under the direction of Santa Clara University baseball coaches Mike Cummins and Louis Lucas, returns to the mission campus for another summer.
Sessions for boys ages 9-16 are slated for June 19-23, July 17-21 and July 24-28.
Clinics in basic fundamentals and hitting will be held June 19-23 and July 17-21, 9 a.m.-noon, each day. The cost is $110 per players. Pitching clinics will held on the same dates, 1-2:30 p.m. each day, and the cost is $60 per player.
Hitting clinics are slated during the week of July 24-28, 9-10:15 a.m. and 10:30-11:45 a.m. each day. The cost is $60 per player for either of the morning sessions.
The school features individualized instruction in defense, base running, sliding and hitting, a pitching machine, video analysis, and a radar gun. Campers will receive a T-shirt, and Bronco caps will be awarded to contest winners.
Cummins, the head coach for the Broncos, and Lucas are both former Santa Clara University players. They have a combined 40 years of coaching experience at the NCAA Division I level.
Santa Clara is the home of the three-time West Coast Conference champion Broncos. The school has produced 21 All-Americans.

Williams Hoop Camp
The annual Sid Williams Basketball Camp returns to Fisher Middle School in Los Gatos this summer.
The camp runs July 10-14 with boys and girls entering grades 5-6 attending from 1-3:30 p.m. and boys and girls entering grades 7-9 attending from 4-7 p.m.
