SHERIFF'S REPORT

Institutional burglary--bet-ween May 18 at 9:32 p.m. and May 19 at 8:20 a.m. on Marilyn Lane. Unknown burglars used a cement block to break the office window of Marshall Lane School. Once the window was broken, the culprits entered the office and took two phones and a Bank of America credit-card verifier.

Assault and battery, drunk in public--May 22 between 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Brookview Drive. The suspect arrived drunk at a witness' address wanting money from the witness' friend, a prior employer of the suspect's. The suspect pushed and kicked a housekeeper, the second victim, who ran and called police. The suspect was arrested at the scene and booked into jail.

Burglary--between May 30, 10 p.m. and May 31, 8:40 a.m., Sacred Heart School on Saratoga Avenue. Someone entered the gym and pulled the phone off the wall.

Vandalism--May 31 between 11 p.m. and June 1, 7:30 a.m., Saratoga High School. Someone using a bolt cutter broke the glass display case and lock near the administration building, then cut a hole in the fence near the pool and cut locks off five gates and storage buildings. Equipment was thrown into the pool along with an electronic scoreboard. Damage was reported at over $1,000.

Residential burglary--June 1 on Shadow Oaks Way. The victim's babysitter invited two male friends over. After being asked to leave, they returned 10 minutes later and hid in the garage for 1 1/2 hours. They later denied any knowledge of two bicycles and a cellular phone missing from the residence.

Armed robbery--June 2 at 1:34 p.m., Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road. The suspect entered a pet store and demanded money. The owner handed over $87, and the suspect walked away.
