Volleyball club hosts summer camps for local kids
The Vision Volleyball Club will host indoor and outdoor beach volleyball camps for girls this summer at Los Gatos High School and West Valley Community College in Saratoga.
Indoor camps will be held July 23-26, 1-3:30 p.m. each day, at West Valley College for girls in grades 5-9, and Aug. 6-9, 6-8:30 p.m. each day, at Los Gatos for girls in grades 9-12.
Beach camps will be held at West Valley College July 30-Aug. 1, 9-11 a.m. each day, for girls in grades 5-9, and July 30-Aug. 1, 5-7 p.m. each day, for girls in high school and college.
Camp participants will receive instruction in volleyball fundamentals and tactics, and will learn the basics of team play. The cost is $140 per player for each session, and all campers receive T-shirts.

Youth Camps
The Los Gatos-Saratoga Recreation Department has announced its schedule for a series of summer sports camps.
A boys and girls basketball camp for youngsters in grades 3-6 will be held June 18-22 at the Fisher Middle School gym. The cost is $69.
A mini-basketball camp for youngsters ages 4-7 will be held on the outdoor courts at Fisher the weeks of June 18-22, July 23-27 and Aug. 6-10, 9 a.m.-noon each day. The fee is $74.
A softball camp for girls in grades 3-8 will be held June 25-28 and July 16-19; a volleyball camp for youngsters in grades 5-9 will be held July 16-20 (outdoors) and July 23-27 (indoors); and sports camps will be held at Daves Avenue School in the weeks of July 23-27, July 30-Aug. 3, Aug. 6-10 and Aug. 13-17.

Girls Basketball Camp
The seventh annual Saratoga Skills Clinic, a summer basketball camp for girls, returns to the Saratoga High School gym June 25-July 13. The camp is open to girls in grades 7-12, and camp hours are 1-3 p.m. Monday through Friday and covers passing, dribbling, ball handling and shooting, and the cost is $200 per player.
