Girls Scout Brownies do dinner with dads
The girls in Brownie Troop 100 took a break from playing sports and learning camping skills to practice their manners on June 4, during a dinner outing with their fathers at Max's Restaurant in the Westgate Shopping Center.
The 13 first-grade girls, who all attend Christa McAuliffe School, received their manners badges at the end of dinner.

During dinner, they practiced appropriate table manners, saying please and thank you while ordering, using their napkins and practicing the art of conversation with others.
Previously, the troop learned how to set a table, how to say please and thank you at snack time, how to answer a telephone and how to introduce people.
Janet Diehl, Renee Bratt and Kathy Bechley lead the troop.
"We're not trying to be prissy or anything," Diehl said, adding that the troop works on a wide range of different badges. "We just wanted to learn how to be polite in social situations." Over the summer, the girls will work on their sports and games badges, Diehl said.
