Musical version of 'Romeo And Juliet'

'Silence Matters' art exhibit

    Annual sample sale at WVC

Geared toward the creative homeowner who strives to become his or her own interior designer or decorator, the West Valley College Interior Design Club holds its sixth annual Designer Sample Sale on June 17, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the college's parking lot, 14000 Fruitvale Ave. in Saratoga. Admission is free.

Professional Bay Area interior designers and design-related tradespeople--including locals from the West Valley region--will be selling high-end, often hard-to-find accessories, antiques, lamps, furniture, art and fabric at costs far below retail. "Martha Stewart would have a field day," says Interior Design Club member Jacqueline Williams.

According to Williams, last year's Sample Sale raised more than $5,000, which benefits West Valley interior design students through design-related tours, seminars, workshops, guest speakers and community service projects. The Interior Design Club, in existence for nearly 20 years, is a student affiliate of the American Society of Interior Designers.
